The setlist was leaked for the Superbowl halftime show. Not sure how credible the info was but the downside is that they will do medley's and combine a bunch. Upside is that they will do Won't get fooled again. No surprise there but I can honestly say I have never seen a live version of that tune that didn't kick as*

CBS owns the CSI franchise too. Coincedence? NAH, they're just still running scared after the Janet wardrobe malfunction six years ago. Ever since then only old white rockers are allowed, preferably British apparently.

I haven't liked the WHO since maybe 80

I rather enjoyed the Tom Petty one myself but I like Tom Petty. It's not that I listen to his music all that much just kind of respect how he's always been so real and true to himself.

I'd say McCartney was the most boring since the whole wardrobe incident.Guess I shouldn't complain, I'd rather see old geezers past their prime who were once great rather than the bubble gum flavor of the day.

Prince was very good. Not necessarily my thing, but he was the best of the last few years. My wife loved it. And wasn't that guitar very phallic looking?
At least it was better than this Viking Fight Song he recently pinned?

And besides, where did this idea for having a rock concert at helf-time of the Super Bowl come from anyway?

Banditos - I think that Paulus thing is one of the funniest things ever. Kudos to those guys for putting it together. I actually got it sent to me in an email chain from a bunch of guys from the '78 Final Four team that lost to Kentucky in the championship game (G-Man, K-dog, Steve Gray - who UNC fans should remembers for an infmaous mistake in Cameron, etc.) Gotta laugh at hard at it.

Of course, feeling very last year at this point, isn't it?

Ol Roy was wise to let John Wall bypass Chapel Hill; kind of like Gut with Chris Paul. Not like you guys need a point guard, huh?

Harrison Barnes to the rescue next year?

We are stinking bad right now. Wall would be a help but the Heels have more problems than he could handle. Duke and Carolina were smart by avoiding him- thug +one and done. Give Calipari another year or two and Kentucky will be on probation.

In full agreement with both the decision to bypass Wall and that Calipari will be on probation.

I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed watching the last few minutes of that game.

Only saw a few minutes of UNC/NCSU game on computer since regional Raycom game. Deon Thompson is great - he should take over more.

What - no Boris the Spider?? Actually, if I had my vote, I'd want them to play Bell Boy...."Always running at someone's bleedin' heel".

BTW, if you haven't caught The Who Live at Kilburn ('77) which has been airing on PBS the past year or so, it's a great video. You really see the incredible musicianship and energy that they had.

hopefully Roger doesnt keel over attempting his "primal scream"

that said, i AM looking forward to seeing them during the halftime show. gotta better than the pathetic performance dialed in by the Stones.

(and i love the fact the CSI series uses their tunes - great fit! even though some dont think that)

"not overly partial to medleys myself," said the Wolf.

I think there is only one who can pull that off: and they called him "The King".

Right now, I'm listening to a SBD from the Las Vegas International Hotel (1971-02-23). It is hi-Q. I'm on "Mystery Train", at the moment.

Which makes me wonder: could Ron Tutt have brought some songs to JGB? I think there are other songs that both JGB and Elvis did but I don't know what they are.

TOOTMO

Revision: Holy Smokes! I think he just did some karate moves during "Polk Salad Annie" while Tutt was doing rimshots!

Revision 2: "Beat the hell out of 'em, Tutt" Johnny B. Goode.

...but wait! Aren't medleys part of what the Who has done live all along?

I just hope they really play. Barry Manilow completely lip-synced his recent Tonight Show performance. It was sadly obvious.

The fact that I watched is downright pathetic.

A macabre game is to try and think which bands have lost the most members , and which have lost none or a few .
The Beatles, and the Who 1/2 gone.
One one Rolling Stone ( Brain Jones) , and that was one of the earliest of the 60's
deaths .
The Bar-Kays , lost 4 members in the Ottis Redding plane cash .
The Ramones might be the winners , 3/4 ths gone . Only the various drummers remain .
The Dead, of course, have lost 5, but 4 of the band survive .

An equally macabre game is to work out all the people who played at Monterey and died young.
